3D printing
3D printers are a progression system: players and groups generate passive income, print rare attachments and get access to unique items. Find a 3D printer kit in the world and place it inside your base.
Parts and where to find them
| Part | Where |
|---|---|
| 3D printer kit | Industrial areas, helicopter crashes, train crashes, airdrops |
| Gasoline generator | Industrial areas, or buy it at the Black Market |
| Filament | Industrial areas, schools, offices, keyrooms (traders don't sell it, but the Black Market buys it) |
| Low-tier USB sticks | Offices, schools, industrial areas, events |
| High-tier USB sticks | Airdrops, hacked crates, keyrooms |

Setting up
You also need a spark plug for the generator and a cable reel.
- Place the 3D printer kit and the generator.
- Connect a cable reel between the generator and the printer.
- Turn on the generator; the printer is now powered.
- Press F on the printer and choose Print.
Filament
- Open the tray in the printer menu.
- Put the required filament in and close the tray to load it.
Each item needs a specific filament; with the wrong one the print won't start. When a USB stick is attached, the menu shows which filament the blueprint needs.

Memory vs USB
- Printer memory: the printer has built-in blueprints. Choose Memory in the menu. Basic items such as base signs need no USB stick, and the memory also has Mid-, High- and Top-Tier Parts that sell for a good price at the Black Market.
- USB blueprints: attach the USB stick to the printer and choose USB in the menu.
What can I print?
"Spool" is how much of one full filament spool a print uses. The whole amount has to be on the spool in the printer when you start.

The printed item lands in the printer's own storage. Leave room in it — if it is full, the print is lost.
Important
- Printing cannot be paused.
- If a print is interrupted, the filament is lost. Filament for cancelled or interrupted prints is not compensated.
- Some prints take hours. If a restart is coming, leave at least 5 minutes spare.
